Hi. My name’s Dawn and I have been a professional writer for 30+ years. I started as a journalist working for local and national newspapers, went into PR for 23+ years and latterly have been concentrating on writing and offering editing and typesetting/book formatting services to other authors. I am a member of The Society for Editors and Proofreaders, The Society of Authors and the Alliance of Independent Authors.

In 2008, my children’s novel, DarkIsle, won the Royal Mail Award for Scottish Children’s Books – an award won the previous year by J K Rowling. I have four children’s books out: DarkIsle and its sequels DarkIsle: Resurrection and DarkIsle: The Final Battle; and A Children’s History of Glasgow. I have two books for adults published: Dusting Down Alcudia and Everything She Wants.  The sequel to Dusting, called The Jacobite’s Share, is due out in spring 2020.
